I'd like to suggest that you install the PlugIn <a href="http://weblog-abc.de/blogg-tipps-tricks/plugin-zum-testen-von-wordpress-design-theme-aenderungen-1366.html" rel="nofollow">Theme Tester</a>. This plugin is very helpful because you can test theme changes without annoying your visitors. Together with my tip to immediately activate the design changes (<a href="http://weblog-abc.de/blogg-tipps-tricks/css-anpassungen-im-blog-direkt-aktivieren-564.html ">Design Änderungen sofort aktivieren</a>; just copy the code in the post in your header.php) you will have a very good basis to find your personal design.
